Importance Of Corrugation

Corrugation plays a very tangible role in roofing generally, most especially in a maintenance situation, where a contractor has to replace some existing roof. The ability not to detect the corrugation of the existing roof and thus getting the exact one to laps perfectly could result to either a total waste on cost spent on the material or an improper installation of material, which will definitely look rough and prone to leakages as the case may be.

Metral Roofing Sheet Corrugation

1 . This corrugation above is generally known as Metral corrugation, it is one of the corrugation with the highest width size of 1.0meter width coverage, it has 6 Ridges and 5 Gutters. Metral corrugation safe costs and are best for roof structures with very good slope.

2. This corrugation as seen above is one of the most popular corrugation existing, most people misunderstood the name being called Normal for a Metral corrugation but are two different corrugation entirely. The Tower corrugation also known as Normal corrugation or Industrial 6 has 0.90meter width coverage and are best fit for all type of roof structure because they have a very good ridge height. Tower corrugation also known as Normal corrugation has 7 ridges and 6 Gutters.

3. This corrugation is known as Super 7 corrugated due to it 7 slopes. Although, fibreglass can only be corrugated into a general slope of 5 with total width coverage of 0.90meter (as seen in the pic above) but could be further extend by demand with an additional charges, as a special order.

4. This corrugation is known as steptiles and it is mostly common with Aluminium roofing. In fibreglass production, Metral corrugation replaces steptiles because they both have equal ridge and gutter but without it full form and shape. Direct Lamination can be done in Fibreglass or FRP production to produce exact steptiles Corrugation.

5. This corrugation is known as Old Alumaco with 0.72meter width coverage. It has 7 ridge and 6 gutters but with a lesser width compared to Tower Corrugation and the likes.

6. This is known as Asbestos Corrugation, it has a width coverage of 0.98meter with ridge height of 0.018meter. This corrugation is similar to super7 with with super micro ridge size.

This Corrugation although has no particular standard name yet but some refer to it has Cooler Mould/ Corrugation. It has a total width coverage of 1 meter, just like Metral Corrugation but with a larger gutter size and just 5 ridges.
